DC impresses with trailers at SDCC

The stage was set at hall H at San Diego Comic Con as the DC Extended Universe presented what they have coming up in the next year. Our own Amy (@ijaneyourobot) was in attendance to capture the excitement and energy as she joined the thousands present to witness what was in store for DC’s mighty heroes.

On the stage, host Aisha Tyler (CBS’ The Talk, Archer, 24) introduced the talent, both in front of and behind the camera, for Wonder Woman 1984, Shazam! and Aquaman. Guests for the panels includes each film’s lead star: Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa and Zachary Levi. WW84’s director Patty Jenkins described that the reason she chose to go with setting the sequel during the 1980s was because she felt the ‘80s represented humankind at its best and worst, which includes the nuclear arms race. Levi, holding a can of Guinness he says he received from Momoa, calls his role as Shazam! “complete wish-fulfillment.” Momoa addressed the special cliff dive himself in Hawaii as a promotion for Aquaman, explaining that growing up in Hawaii, the jump was an average occurrence. Director James Wan went on to explain that he wanted Aquaman to play more like  a SciFi/Fantasy than the traditional superhero film.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to be released November 1st, 2019, Shazam! is set for release on April 5th, 2019, but first up will be Aquaman, which is due out December 21st of this year. Check out the links below for the Aquaman and Shazam! trailers !
