Transformers 7 Removed from Paramount Production Calendar

It appears the Autobots will transform and roll out only one more time, at least according to Paramount’s official production calendar. The yet-unnamed sequel was supposed to carry on the new direction for the “Transformers cinematic universe” established by ‘Transformers: The Last Knight’, and follow the Bumblebee solo film, the 6th in the series.

In February, plans for or mentions of the new cinematic universe were nowhere at the Toy Fair Hasbro Investor Preview, already signaling an end for the series that started in 2007 with Michael Bay’s original ‘Transformer’ live action film.

Is this truly the end for the robots in disguise? Or will be a hiatus ramping up for a relaunch of the franchise? At this point, we here at TCC have got some serious Transformers fatigue and we are totally fine with either.

Opening Dec. 21, 2018, ‘Bumblebee: The Movie’ is directed by Travis Knight with a script by Christina Hodson. The film stars Hailee Steinfeld, John Cena, Jorge Lendeborg Jr., Rachel Crow and Pamela Adlon.
